FAQ
FAQ:
My candle isn't burning to its edges, how can i fix this?
If your candle is only burning in a circle around the wick, which can be known as "tunneling". To avoid this when lighting your candle for the first time, please allow it to burn until the pool of melted wax reaches the outside ring of the tin/jar, this will prolong the overall life of your candle and avoid tunnelling.
Before relighting, please trim your wick, this will give you a cleaner burn and increase the overall burn time of your candle.
Why is there is wet oil on top of my candle?
Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax, which can cause it to release excess (fragrance) oils which it cannot hold which is usually due to temperature changes due to shipping - i.e. going from hot trucks to cool conditioned environment.
Couple things you can do to - You can leave it or wipe it out with a tissue or paper towel. One thing to note is, sweat from soy candles does not affect the burn quality, and generally the "sweat" will not show up again after your first burn.
My candle kind of looks like it's crystalizing?
The crystallization is called "frosting" and only occurs in soy wax which is completely normal and will not affect the candle or fragrance in any way.
My candle broke in during shipping transit what can you do?
If your candle is broken when you receive it, please take a photo of the damage immediately, and send the photo and your order number to essentialsbyjaz@gmail.com in order to send out a replacement ASAP.
